Lela Nargi is the author of several books on knitting and knitting culture. The book Knitting Around the World is certainly the finest and best. A beautiful hardcover book on the traditional art of knitting from around the world. Many beautiful pictures of knitting, history and tradition give you a good overview of various techniques and how famous knitters will therefore have been inspired. A wonderful gift that would make any knitter quite happy. And ... shop girl CarlaM wrote on Lela's request, a chapter on SamplerM, the knitting traditions and contemporary knitting culture in the Netherlands. 10.30 11.30	Reception with coffee, tea and sweets Powerpoint presentation by Christel Seyfarth, where she talks about her work and inspiration. She shows pictures of both hand and machine knitted models and much more. This presentation is designed to inspire you and give an impression of her work.
12.30	Lunch
13.30   15.30	Workshop in which you learn how the Fair Isle technique works, incision and finishing your knitting (so called 'steeks') and how to wind up in the balls for gradients. After the workhshop there is the opportunity to ask questions.

De Afstap in Amsterdam has got many Estonian knitting books!

Designs and Patterns from Muhu Island (previously only available in Estonian, but now finally available in English!) is a true masterpiece. The many pounds and nearly 400 pages thick book is filled with colorful photographs, background informationand knitting and embroidery patterns. A great book, which probably keeps you busy during Christmas. It is available for 64,50 euro.

Türi Kindad ja Sukad is a book with mitten and sock patterns from the region Turi in Estonia. We were very pleased that we could get some copies for sale at 24.50 euros in our store. Be quick!
